Scepan Polje interstate bridge construction process unblocked

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Transport Maja Vukicevic announced that the process for constructing the interstate bridge at the Hum-Scepan Polje border crossing has been unblocked, and the selection of a contractor is expected soon.
She paid an official visit to the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she discussed key infrastructure projects connecting the two countries with Minister Edin Forto.
“According to the agreement, both parties will share the costs of building the bridge equally, while also being responsible for developing the access roads,” the Ministry stated in a press release.
In addition to the bridge construction, the meeting covered other infrastructure projects of regional importance, including the Adriatic-Ionian Highway, the development of the Capljina – Niksic railway, liberalization of international permits, and the digitalization of border procedures, all aimed at speeding up the transport of people and goods.
The meeting was also attended by directors of Monteput and the Transport Administration, Milan Ljiljanic and Radomir Vuksanovic.
