Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Maritime Affairs and Coordinator of the Ministry of Transport Filip Radulovic said that the resumption of the seasonal international maritime routes Budva–Dubrovnik and Kotor–Dubrovnik marks an important step forward in strengthening regional connectivity and enhancing Montenegro’s tourism industry.
“Connecting Budva and Kotor with Dubrovnik by sea adds value to the tourist season and confirms that Montenegro is developing modern and sustainable models of transport connectivity with the region,” Radulovic said.
He stated that these routes will contribute to improved mobility for tourists and citizens, reduce congestion at border crossings during the summer months, and further promote Montenegro’s coast as an attractive and easily accessible destination.
During the peak tourist season, the Budva–Dubrovnik maritime route will operate six times per week, double the number of departures compared to the previous year, while the Kotor–Dubrovnik route will operate three times per week.
“The Ministry of Maritime Affairs will continue to support initiatives that contribute to the development of maritime transport, strengthen cooperation with neighbouring countries, and improve the overall tourism and transport infrastructure of the Adriatic region,” Radulovic said.
