Preparations underway for implementing the Twinning Project on financial services regulation 

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Central Bank (CBCG), preparations for the implementation of the Twinning Project on financial services regulation have begun.

 

CBCG Governor Irena Radovic met today with team members of the Twinning Project “Support to Financial Services Regulation in Montenegro,” which was launched on 1 September.

 

“The Project, running until September 2027 with a budget of €1.8 million provided from IPA funds, is led by the Deutsche Bundesbank with the support of the Croatian National Bank, the National Bank of Slovakia, the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency and GIZ,” the CBCG stated in a press release. 

 

The CBCG added that the project aims to enhance the financial sector’s efficiency, accountability and security contributing to Montenegro’s overall financial and economic stability.

 

Initial guidelines for drafting the Project’s implementation work plan were discussed at today’s meeting, while details of its objectives and activities will be presented at its official launch ceremony, to be organised in the coming weeks.
