Podgorica double homicide suspect arrested in Paris
Podgorica, (MINA) – French police arrested Serbian national A.C.S. (29), suspected of murdering Petar Lipovina (41) and Zarko Pejakovic (25) in November last year in Podgorica.
According to a press release from the Police Administration, A.C.S. was arrested on Wednesday in Paris.
It is stated that Montenegro has issued a red Interpol notice for A.C.S., formerly known as N.C., in order to conduct criminal proceedings before the High Court in Podgorica on suspicion that, together with V.L. (25), he killed Pejakovic and Lipovina last November.
The Police Administration pointed out that, through the exchange of operational and intelligence data regarding the location of A.C.S., NCB Interpol Podgorica officers, in cooperation with the French police, discovered the false identity he was using while hiding.
“This was followed by further activities of several organizational units of the French police to locate and arrest him”, the police stated.
They added that A.C.S. is linked to an organized criminal group and had changed his name several times while in Serbia.
“There will be further communication between the judicial authorities of Montenegro and France with the aim of extraditing A.C.S, bearing in mind that criminal proceedings are ongoing against him before the High Court in Podgorica”, the press release adds.
