New phase of bilateral cooperation between Montenegro and Turkiye

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) –Minister of Finance Novica Vukovic and newly appointed Turkish Ambassador Ayda Unlu agreed that bilateral cooperation between Montenegro and Turkiye is entering a new, more ambitious phase, with a special focus on the economy and investment.

 

The Ministry of Finance said in a press release that Vukovic noted during the meeting that the two countries maintain a continuous and substantive partnership, but that the priority now is to further deepen economic cooperation through concrete projects and increased trade exchange.

 

He said that the economy, healthcare and education are three important segments of relations with Turkiye, adding that joint projects in these areas have long-term significance for the citizens of both countries.

 

Unlu expressed readiness to intensify political and economic cooperation during her term, providing support to investment initiatives and strengthening institutional ties, while also reaffirming Turkey’s support for Montenegro on its European path.

 

The two officials agreed that relations between Montenegro and Turkiye represent a model of a reliable and strong partnership, and expressed expectations of a period of strong investment momentum and concrete development results that will further reinforce the economic and political cooperation between the two countries.
