Podgorica, (MINA) – The Parliament of Montenegro will respect the court ruling regarding the members of the Council of Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG), Administrative Committee chair Jelena Nedovic said.
She stated that respect for court decisions is the foundation of the rule of law and one of the basic principles on which the democratic order of Montenegro rests.
“The Parliament of Montenegro will act in accordance with the final ruling of the competent courts”, said Nedovic in a post on Facebook.
According to her, in a country that aspires to full EU membership, court rulings are not subject to political interpretations, but binding decisions that must be respected.
Nedovic also pointed out that the Administrative Committee, acting within its competences and in accordance with the law, would act responsibly, impartially and exclusively guided by the principle of legality.
