Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Montenegro and Vietnam have significant potential to establish closer cooperation in the tourism sector, particularly in wellness and medical tourism, two segments that continue to grow globally and offer promising development opportunities for both countries.
Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic met with Vietnam’s Ambassador to Montenegro, Le Vin Tang, and representatives of a Vietnamese corporation interested in investment opportunities along Montenegro’s coast to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in tourism and investment, with a particular focus on the development of sustainable tourism projects.
The Ministry of Tourism said in a press release that Kordic highlighted Montenegro’s strategic location in the heart of Europe, noting that its attractive geographic position provides good connectivity with key source markets.
She added that Montenegro is home to a number of internationally renowned hotel brands, further reinforcing the country’s credibility as a tourist destination and its attractiveness to new investors.
Kordic also noted that, according to the European Travel Commission’s report, Montenegro ranked first among Europe’s highest-rated destinations in April.
She added that the country currently chairs the UN Tourism Commission for Europe and has established itself as a reliable partner both in the region and among European tourist destinations through the Bridging Destinations project.
Representatives of the Vietnamese corporation expressed interest in investment opportunities on Montenegro’s coast, saying they see strong potential for the development of high-quality tourism projects in the country.
