Ministry of Tourism and UNDP focus on digital transformation and sustainable tourism

Together with her associates, she met with a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), led by Resident Representative for Montenegro, Ekaterina Paniklova.
The meeting focused on the evaluation of the current Tourism Strategy and the preparation of a new one, planned for next year. In this context, UNDP offered technical assistance of its experts.
Kordic and Paniklova agreed on the importance of digital transformation, a priority strongly emphasized by the Ministry of Tourism, particularly in ensuring accurate registration of tourist arrivals.
They also highlighted the significant potential of MICE and health tourism for Montenegro, along with rural tourism, which creates opportunities for women’s empowerment and the development of local communities.
Paniklova congratulated Kordic on her appointment as Chair of the Commission for Europe at UN Tourism, underscoring the importance of this position for Montenegro.
She also expressed UNDP’s readiness to engage and cooperate in this area.
