Podgorica, (MINA) - Movement for Change leader Nebojsa Medojevic will have to pay EUR 3,000 to Prime Minister Milojko Spajic for violating his honor and reputation, lawyer Danilo Radulovic announced.

Radulovic told Mediabiro that the High Court upheld the verdict in favor of Spajic in a second-instance decision, finding that Medojevic violated the plaintiff’s right to honor, reputation and dignity.

Spajic’s attorney said that the court indisputably established that all statements made by Medojevic were unfounded, with obvious offensive content, because they insulted the plaintiff and his honor and reputation.

The court stated that these are morally unacceptable claims, for which the defendant Medojevic failed to provide any evidence to support his allegations that he had been making against Spajic for years.

Radulovic said that the ruling represents a significant step towards the “decontamination of society from reading and listening to all kinds of unfounded accusations and insults”.
