Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Montenegro will host the investment conference Smart Growth, Green Future: Accelerating Investments in Montenegro, which will take place on 14 and 15 October at The Chedi Lustica Bay hotel.

The conference will be opened by Prime Minister Milojko Spajic and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

The conference agenda, which features a rich programme dedicated to accelerating green, sustainable, and strategic investments and positioning Montenegro as a key investment destination in the Western Balkans, is available at: mia.gov.me/investment conference

“The conference is focused on creating new development opportunities in renewable energy, sustainable agribusiness, tourism, transport, and information technology,” the Government stated in a press release.

The event is organized in cooperation with the European Commission and the Montenegrin Investment Agency and marks an important step toward strengthening Montenegro’s role as a regional hub for green and digital investments, in line with European values, policies, and sustainable development goals.

This event is part of Montenegro’s European path and contributes to its integration into common European processes.

The conference will bring together senior EU representatives, as well as representatives of international organizations and leading companies from Europe.

During the conference, key investment opportunities in Montenegro will be presented, along with plans for regulatory reforms and initiatives to improve the investment environment, with a particular focus on projects aligned with the EU Green Deal, the 2030 Agenda goals, and Montenegro’s accession to the EU single market.
