Interest expressed in closer cooperation with Brazil

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Vladimir Jokovic said that Montenegro is interested in strengthening cooperation with Brazil through the exchange of knowledge and technologies, investments in agriculture and related sectors, and the establishment of production facilities.

 

“Montenegro is in the final phase of preparations for European Union membership by early 2028, and all partners and investors willing to operate in line with European standards are welcome, with full institutional support,” Jokovic said at a meeting with the non-resident Ambassador of Brazil, Maria Clara de Abreu Rade.

 

She stated that Brazil has significant experience in the manufacturing of agricultural machinery, wood processing, and meat production, and is ready to offer Montenegro all forms of professional and technical support.

 

It was concluded at the meeting that Montenegro and Brazil have fostered more than 20 years of successful and friendly cooperation, with mutual readiness to further enhance relations and elevate them to a higher level. 

 

Jokovic noted that Montenegro views Brazil as a very friendly country and an important partner. 

 

The meeting focused on opportunities for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, forestry and wood processing, environmental protection and forest conservation, as well as on the exchange of knowledge and experience.
