Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to MP Dragana Vucevic of the Europe Now Movement, the construction of the motorway is the most important development investment in Montenegro’s modern history and proof that the country’s north is no longer viewed as a periphery, but as an area of significant development potential.

“Motorway is an investment in people, in keeping young people in the north, in the balanced development of the country, and in a better quality of life for future generations,” Vučević said in a press release. 

She added that the Government and Prime Minister Milojko Spajic are delivering concrete results that citizens can see and feel.

“We are building trust and laying the foundations of a European Montenegro,” Vucevic stated.

She said that within five years Montenegro will have a modern transport corridor that will significantly improve safety, reduce travel times, and create new opportunities for economic growth, tourism, and investment.

Vucevic noted that the support and grant of €150 million confirm that European partners recognize Montenegro as a reliable candidate for membership and that the country’s European future is becoming increasingly certain.
