Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to MP Bogdan Bozovic of the Socialist People’s Party (SNP) said that the case of hotel operator HTP Boka must be fully investigated, as its workers deserve justice, citizens deserve answers and the state must protect public assets and the public interest.

“The unanimous adoption of the conclusions by the parliamentary Commission for Monitoring and Oversight of the Privatisation Process shows that the time has come to fully clarify the HTP Boka case,” Bozovic said in a press release.

He said it was particularly important that the relevant institutions had been instructed to examine the sale of the company’s assets and take steps to protect the interests of the state and its employees.

“This is not a political issue, but a matter of justice, accountability and respect for the rule of law,” Bozovic said, adding that he would continue to insist on establishing the full truth and holding accountable all those whose actions or failure to act contributed to the collapse of HTP Boka.

He said the adopted conclusions were only the beginning and that he expected the relevant institutions to act responsibly and without delay, while providing the public with clear answers to all outstanding questions.

“It is our obligation to be the voice of the workers and to show that no one can any longer expect to escape responsibility for actions that have harmed the state and its citizens,” Bozovic concluded.
