Cetinje, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, the 23-kilometer Cetinje-Cevo road section, which was opened today, is important for better connectivity between the citizens of Cetinje and Niksic.

“As I have already said at the opening of the Niksic-Kuside road, we will not neglect any municipality or region of our beautiful country. These 23 kilometers are very important for improving the connection between the citizens of Cetinje and Niksic. Also, this road is important as a hub that will connect Cetinje and Niksic with the Adriatic-Ionian route,” Spajić said.

Together with Radomir Vuksanovic, Director of the Traffic Administration, he opened the Cetinje-Cevo road, which marks the first phase of the construction of the Cetinje-Niksic intercity road.

According to a press release from the Administration, Vuksanovic expressed satisfaction with the completed works and said they would continue to work on improving transport infrastructure throughout the country.

“I am very glad that today we have the opportunity to open this new road. I will remind you that work on this road began 35 years ago. It is a project worth about €33 million, and I will note that most of the works were completed last year, and only about 600 meters remained to be finished before this road could be opened,” Vuksanovic said.

He added that preparations were already underway for continuing the construction of the road towards Niksic.
