Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to MP Boris Mugosa of the Social Democrats (SD). the Government should explain to the public why the South Korean company withdrew just three months after being proposed as the preferred concessionaire and should suspend the long-compromised tender process.

Mugosa said the tender process had been burdened with numerous controversies and that a serious, responsible, and expert discussion should be held on the necessary modernization of Montenegro’s airports.

“Valuable time has been wasted in what are clearly behind-the-scenes political calculations,” Mugosa posted on X. 

Mugosa, who is also an official of the European Alliance, said the alliance’s position is clear and consistent: Montenegro’s airports require significant improvements in their infrastructure and operational performance.

According to him, there is no longer any time to waste, as the company’s much-needed investment cycle has become hostage to the Government’s lack of seriousness, responsibility, and decisiveness as the founder.
