Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – A two-day capacity-building workshop for stakeholders held as part of the ECOBASE project has helped strengthen cooperation among institutions, the scientific community, and other relevant stakeholders, laying the groundwork for further activities aimed at preserving land resources and increasing resilience to climate change.

The workshop, held on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre Tehnopolis in Niksic, made a significant contribution to the objectives of the ECOBASE project, which focuses on improving sustainable land management and promoting nature-based solutions across the ADRION region.

The workshop, organized under the Interreg IPA ADRION programme, was hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in cooperation with the Centre for Climate Change, Natural Resources and Energy at the University of Donja Gorica.

It brought together representatives of government institutions, local authorities, academia, and other stakeholders working in environmental protection, land management, and sustainable development. 

They discussed key issues related to soil quality, soil testing and monitoring, land degradation processes, biodiversity protection, and the application of environmentally friendly nature-based solutions.
