Podgorica, (MINA) – The Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North (MERS), through the Eco-Fund, has supported eight project with the total value of EUR 447,028, of which EUR 290,720 will be provided through Eco_Fund subsidies, Minister Damjan Culafic has announced.

He said that this is another direct form of support for projects in the field of environmental protection, climate change and energy efficiency, but also a strong incentive for local governments to prepare high-quality project documentation for the implementation of important infrastructure investments.

“I am especially pleased that a significant number of supported projects are from municipalities in northern Montenegro. This shows that local governments have recognized the importance of subsidies provided by the state and are increasingly using available support mechanisms to implement projects that contribute to environmental protection and sustainable development”, Culafic emphasized.
