Contract for first phase of Budva bypass to be signed tomorrow

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Representatives of Monteput and BRIV Construction will sign a contract tomorrow for the design and construction of the Markovici–Lastva Grbaljska section, the first phase of the Budva bypass project.

The agreement will be signed at Villa Gorica by Executive Director of Monteput Milan Ljiljanic and BRIV Construction Director Milan Maric. Prime Minister Milojko Spajic will also attend the ceremony.

The Markovici–Lastva Grbaljska section is the first phase of the Budva bypass, one of the Montenegro’s most significant infrastructure projects aimed at improving transport connectivity and easing traffic congestion along the Budva Riviera.

As previously explained, the project will significantly contribute to diverting transit traffic away from Budva’s urban core, reducing traffic congestion, and improving road safety for all users.

In early May, Monteput decided to award the project to a consortium consisting of BRIV Construction, Hering, Herc Gradnja, Shandong, and IPSA Institute Sarajevo.

The consortium’s bid for the preparation of project documentation and construction works amounts to €196.26 million, while the completion deadline is four years from the contractor’s commencement of work.
