Bailiffs contribute to more efficient exercise of rights

Podgorica, (MINA) – Five years after the start of bailiffs’ work, citizens, business people and investors in Montenegro witness significantly faster and more efficient exercise of the rights and more favorable business environment, Deputy Prime Minister Zoran Pazin said during the meeting with the representatives of the Chamber of Bailiffs of Montenegro.

He underlined the significance of bailiffs’ contribution to achieving justice in Montenegro, guaranteeing prompt and timely fulfillment of legal obligations towards creditors and holders of the property rights.

“Thus, the courts are being significantly unburdened, and the citizens are provided with more prompt and efficient exercise of the rights denied to them”, Pazin added.

Pazin emphasized that the Ministry closely cooperates with the Chamber of Bailiffs, both on boosting bailiffs’ expert capacities, and providing strict compliance with the ethical and professional standards of the profession.

President of the Chamber of Bailiffs Vidak Latkovic stated that in the last five years Montenegro’s bailiffs worked on 350,000 cases.

According to him, the number of cases declines every year, which testifies of the increased discipline in accomplishing legal requirements and higher degree of exercise of individual rights. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
