Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) are the most dynamic and resilient segment of Montenegro’s economy, said member of the Management Board of Addiko Bank Danijela Vuksanovic, adding that the future belongs to companies that have the courage to change.
“Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises are the driving force behind the development of the Montenegrin economy, and we believe in their energy, perseverance, and business models,” Vuksanovic said at the opening of the Addiko SMEvolution Conference, held under the slogan Conversations that Connect People and Drive Business.
She said that success does not come without support from the broader business environment, the exchange of experience, and networking with other entrepreneurs.
Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) Nikola Vujovic said it is important to continuously assess whether the business environment is keeping pace with companies’ needs and what can be done to create conditions for improving business performance.
He added that the Chamber communicates daily with representatives of all economic sectors and recognizes their priorities, including more efficient administrative procedures, a more predictable regulatory framework, easier access to finance, and faster digital transformation.
Deputy Mayor of Podgorica Nadja Ljiljanic said that the Capital City remains committed to creating a better environment for entrepreneurship, supporting innovation, and strengthening cooperation with the private sector.
“We believe that a strong local community and a strong economy must go hand in hand,” Ljiljanic said, adding that sustainable solutions can be achieved through dialogue, partnership, and the exchange of experience.
She noted that Podgorica today is not only an administrative center but also a hub for development, entrepreneurship, new investments, and ideas that drive the economy.
