Successful completion of the first One Academy

Successful completion of the first One Academy

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to One Montenegro, the first generation of One Academy participants received certificates that mark the end of the programme, but also the symbolic beginning of their careers.

The event, which rounded off the joint story of the University of Montenegro and the first Montenegrin mobile operator, brought together 23 students who, through months of work, demonstrated that they are ready for the challenges of the modern labour market.

The students presented the projects they had worked on directly to One employees, defending their ideas and solutions with the maturity and confidence of professionals.

Antonela Garbin of the Faculty of Economics said that the final project was the most dynamic and most valuable part of this journey, as it transformed theory into a concrete solution.

“It encouraged me to think more creatively and strategically, improve teamwork, and present ideas with greater confidence. To future generations of the Academy, I would say: be curious and stand bravely behind your ideas, because challenges like these build leaders,” Garbin added.

The One Academy is the result of cooperation with the University of Montenegro, based on a Memorandum of Cooperation signed in September by Rector of the University of Montenegro Vladimir Bozovic and CEO of One Branko Mitrovic.

Mitrovic said that the One Academy is their way of giving young people the opportunity to show what they know, but also to experience what working in a real business environment looks like.

“At the same time, this is our way of bringing best global practices to Montenegro, where it is unimaginable to complete studies without similar programmes. However, the benefit does not belong only to students, but also to us as a company, because their interaction with our employees brings something invaluable as well,” said Mitrovic.

Chairman of the Management Board of the University of Montenegro Milivoje Radovic said that the University of Montenegro strongly believes in education that does not remain confined to classrooms.

“That is why initiatives like this are invaluable, because they give students the opportunity to test their acquired knowledge in a real professional environment and to step into the business world with greater confidence,” Radovic stated.
