Strengthening cooperation and implementing European standards

Strengthening cooperation and implementing European standards

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Employment Office, strengthening cooperation, exchanging experience, and implementing European standards are key prerequisites for developing more efficient public employment services.

The Employment Office hosted a delegation from the Employment Agency of North Macedonia, which came to exchange experience and best practices in the operation of public employment services, strengthen institutional cooperation, and improve the quality of services provided to jobseekers and employers.

The delegation was received by Director of the Employment Office David Percobic, together with Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Dialogue Naida Nisic and Chairman of the Management Board Aleksandar Sipcic, who welcomed the visitors and expressed confidence that the exchange of experience would contribute to further strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.

During the meetings, participants reviewed current labour market trends in Montenegro, employment mediation services, active labour market policy measures, and the Employment Office’s ongoing activities in the field of service digitalization.

“Particular attention was devoted to the Employment Office’s role as a contracting authority in implementing projects funded by European Union, as well as its experience in Montenegro’s EU accession process through alignment with the EU acquis and the application of European standards in the work of public employment services,” the press release reads.
