Podgorica, (MINA) – The Party of European Progress (SEP) called on the councilors’s club of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in the Capital City Assembly to schedule a session of the local parliament without delay in order to, as stated, prevent the blockade of the city services and protec the public interest.
“At the same time, we insist the consultations among the opposition parties to be urgently organized in order to elect the Capital City Assembly chair”, the press release states.
The SEP stated that their previous initiative for the election of the vice president proved that by working together it is possible to unblock the local institutions.
They said that they will not allow party bargaining to threaten the stability of Podgorica.
“Podgorica must not be held hostage to anyone’s political ambitions, and the SEP will continue to fight for full functionality of the Capital City”, the press release stated.
