Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) – In line with clearly defined agreements and prior announcements, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has ensured secure placement of market surpluses.

“The full quantities can be sold through exports to countries in the region, which represents a concrete and operational solution. There is no justified reason for delaying or avoiding participation in this process,” the Ministry said in a press release. 

The Ministry assured processing facilities that all quantities will be sold and expects their immediate response and application to the public call without further delay.

“At the same time, we call on processors to establish regular purchasing starting tomorrow. Any further delays will be considered an irresponsible attitude toward domestic producers,” the press release concludes.

Farmers rallied again today in front of the Ministry, expressing dissatisfaction that the promise to continue purchasing milk from small producers had not been fulfilled, and that surpluses would be processed in the region.
