Podgorica, (MINA) - The Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) has launched an investigation following a criminal complaint filed against the management of Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) by the RTCG Employees Trade Union over non-transparent spending on employee performance bonuses, it was announced at the press conference of this union organization.
The RTCG Employees Trade Union organized a press conference to address, as they stated, anti-union discrimination against its members and failure to sign the collective agreement.
Snezana Radusinovic, a member of the Executive Board of the RTCG Employees Trade Union, said that the complaint they submitted in July concerned non-transparent spending on employee bonuses and fees paid to external collaborators.
“Today we can confirm that EUR 735,000 per year in gross amount was spent on bonuses, and over EUR 400,000 on external collaborators”, said Radusinovic.
“Several reliable sources confirmed to us that ten days ago the SDT, acting on this complaint, launched an investigation at the RTCG. Immediately afterward, a new, so far unprecedented, wave of pressure and intimidation of our members followed, and in just ten days, 16 members left the trade union”, said Radusinovic.
She said that on that occasion, on Friday, they again contacted Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novovic.
“We requested that the prosecutor’s office, within its competences and legal powers, urgently take measures to protect us from the pressures exerted by the management”, added Radusinovic.
According to her, all of this is directly related to the negotiations on salary increases in RTCG, which have been ongoing for more than a year.
