Podgorica, (MINA) – Representatives of the ruling parties in the Capital City agreed on Saturday not to negotiate with the opposition, nor accept their candidate for the position of chair of the local parliament.
As Vijesti reports, it was concluded at the meeting that the new chair of the Capital City Assembly, who will replace Jelena Borovinic Bojovic, should be proposed by the coalition For the Future of Podgorica (ZBPG), as the position belongs to this coalition according to the coalition agreement.
The meeting was organized by the Movement for Podgorica, close to the state president Jakov Milatovic, and was attended by representatives of all local government ruling parties.
The Democratic People’s Party, which has recently moved to the opposition, did not respond to the invitation to attend the meeting.
On Tuesday, Borovinic Bojovic resigned as Chair of the Capital City Assembly, stating that she believed that this democratic step would create space for further clarification of open issues.
