Public dialogue launched on Draft Economic Reform Programme 2026-2028 

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Ministry of Finance has launched a public dialogue on the Draft Economic Reform Programme for the period from 2026 to 2028 (ERP) through a roundtable discussion. 

 

The ERP is Montenegro’s key economic planning document, which is prepared in line with guidelines issued by the European Commission (EC).

 

The Ministry of Finance stated in a press release that the core objectives and structure of the ERP were presented during the roundtable, organized with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

 

“The Government is preparing the Economic Reform Programme with broad participation from institutions, social partners, and international organizations, and the document will be fully aligned with the Draft Budget Law,” the press release reads.

 

In accordance with this year’s EC guidelines for drafting the Economic Reform Programme, the document consists of a macroeconomic and fiscal framework. Consistency between the Reform Agenda and the Economic Reform Programme is presented in a dedicated chapter on alignment with the macro-fiscal framework, ensuring coherence and credibility of economic and fiscal policies.

 

The ERP 2026–2028 was presented by the Directors General at the Ministry of Finance, Milos Miskovic and Bojan Paunovic, and Director General Andrijana Ulic Rajovic.
