PKCG presents EU grant recipients

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to President of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) Nina Drakic, the 25 Montenegrin companies that secured European Union (EU) grants through the EmBRACE project are strong proof that the domestic business sector has the capacity to participate on an equal footing in European programmes.

PKCG hosted a meeting of 25 Montenegrin companies that recently signed contracts in Herceg Novi to implement projects that received EU grants under the second call of the EmBRACE programme.

The grants were awarded to STANDARD MEDIA, Simes Inzenjering, Media Solutions, 2BI, Innovatio Proficit, B Solution, Fleka, Olando, Vakom, OLIVMONT, GeoJUG, INVAR-IVOSEVIC, Institute for Economy and Recreation, AZOR Consulting Sustainable Development Agency, Geotin MNE, B-RIL Inzenjering, Apolotours DMC, KOBRA, VIAMONT, Euro-transport, FABRICA MNE, STUDIO MOUSE, PROGMATA Technologies, Hiron Creative Lab, and Mima.Co.

Drakic said the success of Montenegrin micro and small enterprises demonstrates that the country’s business community has the capacity to participate competitively in European programmes and grow through partnerships with companies from the region and the EU.

“The fact that Montenegrin enterprises secured more than €1.5 million in non-refundable EU funding through the second EmBRACE call confirms that our business sector has the knowledge, capacity, and quality required to compete in the European market,” Drakic said.

Speaking about the importance of European funds for business development, Drakic noted that projects worth nearly €5.7 million, of which €4.8 million was funded through EU grants, are more than statistics – they reflect the growing ability of Montenegrin companies to make use of available development instruments.

She particularly highlighted the importance of business internationalization, noting that competitiveness is built not only in the domestic market but also through strong regional and European integration.

State Secretary at the Ministry of European Affairs Bojana Boskovic said the results achieved through the EmBRACE project offer one of the best examples of the tangible benefits that European integration brings to Montenegro’s economy and citizens.

She stated that the success of the companies receiving grants confirms that Montenegro’s business sector has the knowledge, capacity, and potential to effectively use EU funding and meet the demands of the modern market.

“This is a very concrete example of what European integration brings to our economy. We have demonstrated that we have the capacity within our economy to design quality projects, attract European funding, and transform it into development opportunities for our companies,” Boskovic said.

Speaking about the significance of the EmBRACE programme, she recalled that it supports micro and small enterprises, which form the backbone of Montenegro’s economy and play a key role in strengthening its competitiveness.

According to Boskovic, micro and small enterprises are often the drivers of innovation, adapt more quickly to market changes, and create new development opportunities. Therefore, it is important that institutions provide them with adequate support for developing business ideas and ensuring long-term sustainability.
