PES: DPS trying to divert attention from fight against organized crime

Podgorica, (MINA) – The Europe Now Movement (PES) has accused the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) of trying to divert the public’s attention from major organized crime cases by announcing a rally in Pljevlja.

The Pljeval PES committee stated that the rally is being organized at a time when the Special State Prosecutor’s Office is opening cases that, as they stated, expose networks of connected criminal structures, political orders and attempts to manipulate the public through certain media and NGOs.

The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) invited earlier on Thursday the citizens of Pljevlja to a protest rally under the slogan “Fight for Pljevlja! Fight for Montenegro!”.

“The bizarre statements made by the President of the Municipality of Pljevlja (Dario Vranes) do not reflect Pljevlja’s true character”, said DPS.

“DPS is trying to organize a rally that would, if only for a moment, cover up the political and moral desolation it left behind”, the PES statement reads.
