Podgorica, (MINA) - On August 30, 2020, Montenegrin citizens overthrew a hybrid regime, that had kept Montenegro in economic misery and political darkness, the Europe Now Movement (PES) stated.

The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) had announced previously that Montenegro is ruled by malicious, inexperienced and immature individuals, who are systematically destroying the country and have led it to political, economic and moral collapse.

The PES responded by saying that the DPS’s statement about the consequences of August 30 once again confirms their permanent self-deception and political disorientation.

“Citizens overthrew the hybrid regime on that day, which had kept Montenegro in economic misery and political darkness”, the PES emphasized.

The movement stated that today, being tried for the most serious crimes, are long-term officials and associates of the DPS – directors of key institutions, former heads of the Police Administration, former Special State Prosecutor, former Supreme Court President, senior police officials and ministers.

They said that this is the best confirmation of the essence of DPS rule: “By the combination of government and crime, they captured the state and turned it into private property”.
