Partnership between institutions and businesses key to improving the business environment and tourism development

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In addition to their supervisory role, inspection services play an important part in preventive action and educating businesses, and the best results in improving the business environment and developing tourism can be achieved through a partnership between institutions and the private sector.

This was stated by Milutin Butorovic, Minister without Portfolio responsible for relations with Parliament and Chairman of the Coordination Body for the Harmonization and Monitoring of Inspection Supervision.

According to a press release from the Government, together with Andrej Vucekovic, adviser to the Chairman of the Coordination Body, Butorovic met with representatives of the Centre for Rural and Environmental Development of Montenegro, led by Mico Blagojevic, as well as representatives of the Cluster Centre for Rural Tourism from Bar, headed by Zeljka Krivokapic-Milicevic.

The meeting focused on the challenges businesses face during inspections conducted by inspectorates operating within the Coordination Body, as well as on opportunities to improve cooperation between public institutions and business entities.

It was concluded that preventive and advisory activities by inspection services are of great importance for the development of legal and sustainable business operations. Through timely guidance and support, inspection services can help businesses align their operations with legal requirements.

“At the same time, the importance of consistent law enforcement and the effective suppression of unregistered business activity was highlighted,” the press release reads.
