Podgorica, (MINA) – Speaker of the Parliament Andrija Mandic has scheduled an extraordinary session of the Parliament for 10 February, with the second vote on the proposal for the election of a judge of the Constitutional Court on the agenda.
Mandic called the session, which is scheduled for 11 a.m., at the request of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic.
Milatovic submitted the proposal to elect Predrag Krstonijevic as a judge of the Constitutional Court to the Parliament of Montenegro on 3 December.
In the first round of voting, on 31 December, Krstonijevic did not receive the required support from MPs. He was backed by 25 out of 45 MPs who voted, while 20 abstained.
In the second round, three-fifths majority, or at least 49 votes, is required for the election of a Constitutional Court judge.
