Montenegro and BiH to continue strengthening defense cooperation

Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) will continue strengthening cooperation in defense and security, with a special emphasis on joint action in emergency situations, defense ministers of the two countries, Dragan Krapovic and Zukan Helez announced on Monday.
According to the press release by the Montenegrin Ministry of Defense, Krapovic hosted Helez on Monday for a working visit.
The Ministry stated that the two ministers met with the aircrews of the Army of Montenegro Air Force and the Armed Forces of BiH, which in the previous worked side by side fighting wildfires in Montenegro.
Krapovic thanked Bosnia and Herzegovina and Helez for swift and concrete help in these difficult times for Montenegro.
He emphasized that the solidarity and support of Montenegro’s partners confirms that any crisis can be overcome through joint efforts.
Helez pointed out that the helicopter crews of the BiH Armed Forces worked together with their Montenegrin colleagues in extinguishing the fires, noting that the safety of citizens and the protection of nature have no borders.
