Modern labour market through digital transformation

Modern labour market through digital transformation

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) - Director of the Employment Office David Percobic believes that digital transformation, institutional strengthening, and partnerships with employers are key to developing a modern labour market.

Speaking at the first Labour and Employment Forum: Dialogue and Partnership for the Future, held at Jahorina, he stated that employment offices must become engines of change, and digital and flexible services connecting employers, education, and citizens.

“Our goal is a labour market that responds quickly, and an Employment Office that provides solutions, not just mediation,” Percobic said at the panel titled “Labour Market by 2030.”

The forum, which brought together more than 100 participants, featured five panels discussing the state and challenges of the labour market, digitalization and new skills required from workers, migration, employment of foreigners, workforce mobility, labour market resilience, as well as regional and European experiences.

It was concluded that global and regional migration trends and changes in the labour market require employment services to adapt to new trends.

Participants highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional capacities, digital transformation, and mutual cooperation among public services as prerequisites for reducing labour market imbalances.
