Milatovic schedules Defense and Security Council session, calls urgent meeting over Middle East

Podgorica, (MINA) - President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic has scheduled the continuation of the Defense and Security Council session for March 9, and initiated an urgent meeting of relevant institutions due to current development in the Middle East.
According to the press release from his office, Milatovic scheduled the continuation of the Council session for March 9, given that Prime Minister Milojko Spajic is abroad this week.
“The President of the State, in his capacity as the Council chair, previously initiated the continuation of the session on several occasions, proposing December 30, January 19, February 2 and 9 as possible dates. Considering the importance of the items on the agenda, further delays are not acceptable”, Milatovic’s office stated.
Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Becic, Minister of Defense Dragan Krapovic, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimovic and Director of the National Security Agency Ivica Janovic have been invited to the meeting.
Milatovic’s office stated said that the agenda will be expanded to include information on the newly emerging situation in the Middle East and its security and foreign policy implications for Montenegro.
