Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It has concluded at a meeting Speaker of Parliament Andrija Mandic had with head of delegation of the Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Ali Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Shahrani, that the future of relations between Montenegro and Saudi Arabia rests on strengthening economic cooperation and attracting major investments.

It was noted at the meeting that tourism and energy are key sectors in which closer cooperation could be established. 

“In this context, they concluded that it would be of great importance to re-launch a direct air route between Podgorica and Riyadh,” the Parliament stated in a press release.

Mandic stated that Montenegro and Saudi Arabia maintain traditionally friendly relations, based on mutual respect and shared values.

He recalled that he conveyed this message during his official visit to Riyadh earlier this year.

Al-Shahrani thanked Mandic for the meeting and expressed his satisfaction with his stay in Montenegro.
