Krapovic: Montenegro will continue contributing to NATO Mission in Kosovo

 

Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro remains committed to strengthening good-neighborly relations and regional security and will continue its concrete contribution to the NATO Mission in Kosovo, Minister of Defense Dragan Krapovic said during a meeting with outgoing KFOR Commander Enrico Barduani.

According to the press release from the Ministry of Defense, Krapovic emphasized that KFOR’s role is important for security and stability in the Western Balkans.

Krapovic thanked Italy for its swift response and assistance in extinguishingthe  wildfires that hit Montenegro this August.

According to him, Montenegro advocates for the integration of the entire Western Balkans into the EU and Euro-Atlantic community, considering it the best guarantee for long-term stability of the region.

Barduani, according to the Ministry, thanked Montenegro for its continuous contribution to the NATO Mission in Kosovo, but also for its efforts to promote good neighborly relations and regional security.

According to the press release, during his visit to Podgorica, Barduani also met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro (VCG), Miodrag Vuksanovic.
