Podgorica, (MINA) – Art must remain autonomous and free from political influences, said guitarist Miloc Karadaglic, adding that perseverance and the heritage he carries from Montenegro have played an important role in his professional development.

In an interview with the MINA News Agency, Karadaglic said that he experienced the first strong connection with the audience during one of his early performances at the Zetski dom in Cetinje, which, he added, was the moment when he realized that he wanted to dedicate his life to music.

Speaking about professional challenges, Karadaglic pointed out that success does not bring relief, but additional responsibility and the constant need for research.

According to him, music is the universal language that everyone understands, and in times of division and complex geopolitical situations, the role of artists has never been more important.

Karadaglic believes that his Montenegrin roots represent an important part of his artistic identity and states that the contrasts of his homeland, light and darkness, height and depth, shape the sensibility he brings to international scene.

He added that he deeply feels Montenegro’s support and that through his artistic work, as well as the Milos Karadaglic Foundation, he strives to inspire young people and provide support at crucial stages of their development.

“I always try convey meaningful messages in Montenegro and to inspire a new generation of young people through my work who will be future positive examples in this society and future ambassadors of Montenegro through something beautiful”, said Karadaglic.

Asked about him future plans, he said that he continues to work on new transcriptions and guitar compositions, with upcoming performances across Europe, Asia, Great Britain and the United States.

Karadaglic said that working with young people through his foundation brings him special fulfillment, stressing that each scholarship recipient is unique and that diversity is the essence of art.
