Jokovic re-elected SNP president

Podgorica, (MINA) – The incumbent president of the Socialist People’s Party (SNP), Vladimir Jokovic, was re-elected to the position on Saturday.

At the SNP Congress, 339 out of 434 delegates voted in favor of Jokovic, while 19 voted against, Portal RTCG reports.

This is Jokovic’s third term as head of that party.

Jokovic said that the SNP Congress took place on August 30, the day he described as the great victory of the church and people in Montenegro.

According to Jokovic, the party has always stood by the principle that the common good is more important than any individual interests.

He said that there is no room for division within the SNP, but there is room for dialogue.

“I want to confirm what is already known – the SNP is not a party experiment, but a political constant in Montenegro”, said Jokovic.
