Investment in quality and standardization as the foundation of sustainable development

Investment in quality and standardization as the foundation of sustainable development

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) Dragan Kujovic said that, despite being a small country and economy, Montenegro demonstrates a great understanding of the importance of standards, measurability, and continuity, adding that only quality creates lasting value.

“Today, we have the opportunity to remind ourselves that quality is not a coincidence, but the result of dedication, knowledge, and a genuine desire to be better—not because market standards demand it, but because we know that only quality creates lasting value,” Kujovic said at the Montenegro Quality Day.

The event was organized by PKCG on the occasion of World Quality Day and the European Quality Week, with the goal of exploring ways in which different approaches, experiences, and perspectives can contribute to the common goal: building and nurturing a culture of quality in organizations.

“Through institutions, business community, academia, and the civil sector, awareness is growing that quality is not a cost, but an investment in trust, sustainability, and the future. This path leads us to a society that values knowledge, ethics, and responsibility, a society in which we all want to live,” Kujovic stated.

He added that, for every successful organization, quality is not just a set of standards and procedures but a way of thinking, working, and living.
