Interest rates decline 

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The weighted average effective interest rate for granted loans, including all related costs, decreased by 0.03 points to 6.34 percent in May.

According to the statistics published by the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) in its Bulletin, the weighted average nominal interest rate decreased by 0.03 points to 5.81 percent in this period.

 

In May, the effective interest rates for newly granted loans decreased by 0.26 percentage points to 5.85 percent, while the nominal rate dropped by 0.23 points to 5.4 percent.

In this period, the effective interest rate of microfinance institutions (MFIs) declined by 0.07 points to 20.8 percent, while the nominal one decreased by 0.05 points to 18.7 percent.

 

The weighted average effective interest rate offered by the MFIs for newly granted loans increased by 0.27 percentage points to 20.88 percent, while the nominal one rose by 0.29 points to 18.77 percent.


The weighted average effective interest rate for deposits increased at 0.01 percentage points to 0.28 percent in May.
