Ibrahimovic holds talks with Jordan, Egypt and Kuwait officials on Middle East developments

Podgorica, (MINA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimovic discussed the current developments in the Middle East in separate phone conversations with senior officials of Jordan, Egypt and Kuwait.
According to the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ibrahimovic spoke with his Jordan counterpart Minister Ayman Safadi, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty Egypt and Kuwait’s Jarrah Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah.
“During the telephone conversations, the current security situation in the Middle East was discussed, while special attention was paid to the most recent developments and their possible consequences for regional stability”, the press release said.
It is added that Ibrahimovic informed his counterparts of Montenegro’s position regarding the latest developments, emphasizing that Podgorica is closely monitoring the events with great attention following the the escalation of the security situation in the region.
“He noted that further destabilizing actions risk deepening the crisis and diminishing the prospects of resolving the situation through diplomatic channels”, the press release said.
Ibrahimovic reiterated that Montenegro will continue to support initiatives aimed at reducing tensions, protectinf civilians, promoting dialogue between the parties involved and long-term sustainable stability.
