Kotor, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj stated that Montenegro’s accession to the European Union will lead to increased investments, improved infrastructure, digital transformation, and a stronger regional and international position.
“We see Montenegro in 2028 as a stable EU member with efficient institutions and a competitive business environment. This will bring growth in investments, infrastructure improvements, digital transformation, and a stronger regional and international presence,” Gjeloshaj said at the ACE 2025 Best Practice Sharing Conference in Kotor, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham).
During the gala dinner and panel discussion titled “Montenegro on its Path to the EU,” he said that once Montenegro becomes part of the Union, it will be a destination where investors can count on security and professional administration, while citizens will feel the direct benefits through economic growth and employment.
AmCham announced that during the three-day ACE 2025 Best Practice Sharing Conference, Montenegro will host representatives of 30 American chambers of commerce from Europe and Eurasia, as well as CEOs and leaders of influential international business communities.
President of the AmChams in Europe (ACE) network Ajsa Vodnik said that such conferences offer valuable opportunities to build stronger relationships for a better Europe and to further strengthen transatlantic ties.
“We are especially pleased to be in Montenegro, where we support the country’s aspirations to join the EU,” Vodnik said.
Sanja Calasan, President of AmCham Montenegro’s Board of Governors, stated that European integration is not only a political aspiration but also an economic path that requires investment, innovation, and trust.
AmCham Director Marko Mirocevic noted that Montenegro’s readiness for EU membership is measured by its ability to create opportunities, highlighting that the 2023/2024 Business Climate Report offers encouraging signs.
The ACE 2025 Best Practice Sharing Conference is held under the auspices of the AmChams in Europe network, which brings together 49 AmChams from 47 countries across Europe and Eurasia, representing the interests of more than 17,000 American and European companies and employing over 20 million people.
