Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Vladimir Jokovic, the Ministry will undertake all necessary measures to assist producers and compensate for the damage caused by the recent fires in Piperi.

According to a press release from the Ministry, Jokovic visited the fire-affected area of Piperi together with State Secretary Krsto Radjenovic and Director of the Directorate for Agriculture Miroslav Cimbaljevic.

The Ministry noted that its representatives witnessed firsthand the extent of the damage suffered by residents and farmers in the region.

“A large number of agricultural plots, plantations, and auxiliary facilities have sustained serious damage or were completely destroyed, further threatening the livelihoods of many households,” the press release reads.

Jokovic spoke with local residents and farmers, listened to their needs, and emphasized that the Ministry would do everything possible within its means to provide support and compensate for the losses.
