Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – At the end of April, there were 1.41 million mobile phone users in Montenegro, 0.55 percent more than in March.

According to a report published by the Montenegrin Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP), the mobile telephony penetration rate was at 226.82 percent in this period.

Compared with last year’s corresponding period, the number of users rose by 4.15 percent in April. 

The share of post-paid users was 62.71 percent, while the one of prepaid users was 37.29 percent of their total number. 

M:tel had a 41.92 percent share in the total number of mobile phone users, while Crnogorski Telekom and One had the respective market shares of 36.21 percent and 21.87 percent in this segment.
