Drakic elected to Eurochambres Board of Directors
- Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – At a meeting of affiliated members held in Podgorica, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (PKCG) Nina Drakic has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Eurochambres.
Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – At a meeting of affiliated members held in Podgorica, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (PKCG) Nina Drakic has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Eurochambres.
According to PKCG, the event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences, strengthen inter-chamber cooperation, and explore ways to improve the business climate and support the economy in times of rapid and complex change.
Alongside Drakic, the affiliated members who also elected to the Eurochambres Board are Vice President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vjekoslav Vukovic, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Georgia Giorgi Pertaia, and President of the Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine Gennadiy Chyzhkov.
Expressing her gratitude, Drakic said that she will use her position to advocate for Montenegro’s economy to become a more active partner in shaping the business environment. She also highlighted her commitment to enhancing competitiveness and advancing Montenegro’s full integration into the European market.
“As a frontrunner in the EU accession process, Montenegro is in an excellent position to show how enlargement can work in practice, especially when the private sector is fully involved,” said Drakic.
She reiterated the readiness of The Chamber of Commerce to play an active role in this process.
“We are already supporting our companies through tailored services and EU-aligned training, by facilitating access to finance and EU programmes, and by strengthening public-private dialogue to ensure reforms reflect the real needs of business,” Drakic said.
She noted that while Montenegro is a small economy, it is also dynamic and firmly committed to European integration and to building a competitive, sustainable, and innovative economic system.
