Podgorica, (MINA) – Today, Montenegro is governed by malicious, inexperienced and immature individuals, who are systematically destroying the country and who have led it to political, economic and moral collapse, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) said.

The party stated that it has been five years since the “famous” August 30, the day when, thanks to the DPS, Montenegro showed that it is a functional democracy in which governments can be changed through elections, without the predicted heavy artillery on the streets.

They said that it was necessary for DPS to lose in the elections in order for election results to be finally recognized by all political actors.

“Today, five years after the change of government and the famous so-called liberation, we can, from this distance, objectively speak about the results of political changes in Montenegro. They were led by actors who never recognized the results of the independence referendum and whose actions to this day have been openly anti-systemic and anti-state” the announcement reads.

According to DPS, Montenegro is currently governed by a clerical-nationalist clique that wants to use historical revisionism to turn Montenegro into a Chetnik state and destroy its anti-fascist foundations and civic character.

“Today, the state is governed by malicious, inexperienced and immature individuals who are systematically destroying the state and who have led it to political, economic and moral collapse”, said the party.
