DNP, NSD express full support for Vesna Bratic following arrest

Podgorica, (MINA) – Former Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Vesna Bratic made the greatest contribution to the depoliticization of Montenegro’s education system, the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) stated, while the Democratic People’s Party (DNP) expressed their full and unequivocal support for Bratic, who was arrested on Monday by order of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT).

In their reaction, NSD expressed solidarity with Bratic, “the person who made the greatest contribution to the depoliticization of the education system in Montenegro”.

"Who is today, obviously due to inability of our institutions to address the accumulated criminal acts of the former regime, being portrayed as the number one threat to the constitutional order of this country and treated accordingly”, NSD stated in a press release.

DNP stated in their press release that Bratic’s only “sin” was that she had the courage to dismantle the deeply rooted “octopus” of the Democratic Party of Socialists in the Ministry of Education and Culture and to begin dismantling the system that has been abusing the institutions for decades.

According to them, if this is the reason for her arrest, then, by the same logic, all citizens who voted for changes on August 30 2020 should be arrested.
