Court orders 30-day detention for Aco Djukanovic

 

Podgorica, (MINA) - Businessman Aco Djukanovic, brother of former Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, has been ordered detained for up to 30 days on suspicion of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosive materials, the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) in Niksic announced.

According to the Niksic Prosecutor’s Office, Djukanovic was detained due to flight risk.

“There is a reasonable suspicion that A.Dj. was unlawfully keeping weapons and ammunition in his Niksic home”, the press release states.

Djukanovic’s detention was ordered by the investigating judge of the Basic Court in Niksic, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office.
