Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Ministry of Public Works, the Kotor–Lovcen–Cetinje cable car, one of the most recognizable infrastructure projects in the field of tourism, will soon enter a new phase of construction.

In cooperation with the local administration of Cetinje, the Ministry of Public Works has launched a public procurement for the design and construction of the Kuk–Ivanova Korita–Cetinje section, spanning nearly 11 kilometers.

“This continues the Kotor–Lovcen route, which has become an indispensable part of the tourism offering and one of the most recognizable projects in this field,” the statement said.

The project, worth nearly €50 million, is being implemented according to the “design and build” model and includes complete technical documentation and construction works within a period of three years.

“The route is fully aligned with the Spatial Plan of Lovcen National Park and the urban plans of the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje, respecting environmental, spatial and technical standards,” the Ministry stated in a press release.
